Prior to 2006, the college had an Employee of the Year Program (see above). The Top Tigers Program (formerly called the Heroes Program) began in 2006 to recognize and reward staff employees for outstanding effort throughout the year and not just at the Faculty/Staff Banquet. In order to be considered as a potential winner, a nomination is submitted either by the individual or anyone wishing to nominate someone. A committee is appointed to choose the winners from among those nominated.
Nomination requirements include the following:
While the Employee of the Year program recognized one individual, the Top Tigers Program was expanded to recognize and reward employees from three distinct groups.
The actual winners choose their award from a list of possible awards. They also receive a plaque and a small gift at the Service Award Program.
The other component of the Top Tigers Program is ongoing recognition. The Great Talent Flight Team Committee coordinates other activities throughout the year to recognize how employees contribute to the on-going success of Georgetown College.
