<p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<br />
•  Work with the Associate Dean of Students/Director of Student Engagement to evolve and maintain the Equine Scholars Program Mission<br />
•  Maintain and promote donor relations<br />
•  Maintain and promote Scholar relations, both academic and co-curricular<br />
•  Fundraising<br />
•  Event selection and scheduling for regular field trips<br />
•  Maintain and adhere to Equine Scholars budgets<br />
•  Attend recruiting events such as working vendor booths at industry shows and visiting high schools<br />
•  Public relations, ad placement and generation of press release content<br />
•  Update Social media, including website, Facebook and Twitter<br />
•  Attend equine events to represent the Equine Scholars Program<br />
•  Locate and encourage equine internships and jobs for Scholars<br />
•  Represent the Equine Scholars Program and Georgetown College when called upon (scholars, donors, industry leaders, faculty, staff, etc.).<br />
•  Ensure GC Horse(s) is cared for as necessary.</p>
<p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES<br />
This position co-supervises the Program Coordinator. The position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this area and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the college&#8217;s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</p>
<p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. •  Education and / or Experience – Bachelor’s degree with at least five (5) years of work experience. Experience in business management, sales and fundraising a plus. Equine industry experience within the Bluegrass Region required.<br />
