			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Georgetown College seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Special Education (LBD Learning &amp; Behavior Disorders &amp; Moderate and Severe Disabilities).  </p>
<p>Georgetown College is a small, Christian, liberal arts college that places emphasis on teaching excellence and encourages scholarly inquiry.  </p>
<p>Responsibilities include teaching courses for the graduate online special education (LBD and MSD) certification program, serving on Education Department committees, and advising students in the Special Education Graduate program.  </p>
<p>Candidates must have certification to work with students with mild disabilities and or moderate and severe disabilities; a doctorate in special education and teaching experience in this area is required.  This is a 12 month appointment.  Special consideration will be given to candidates who have:<br />
• Experiences in designing, revising, and/or delivering online courses<br />
• Special expertise in assistive technology<br />
• Knowledge of NCATE<br />
• Experience working with PK-12 students from diverse backgrounds<br />
• Public school teaching experience in special education<br />
• Experience observing special education teachers in the field<br />
• Experience with or willingness to become an evaluator for the state internship program called KTIP </p>
