Georgetown College Spanish Immersion Program Seeks Adjunct Instructors
The Inmersión en Español program at Georgetown College (IEGC) allows highly proficient
students of Spanish to grow intellectually while maintaining and developing that proficiency.
Students in the program complete at least 15 credit hours of their general studies requirements
by taking content‐area courses that are held entirely in Spanish.
The program would like to create a pool of adjunct instructors who have the interest and ability
to teach courses on rotation. In particular, we are looking for candidates who are qualified to
teach introductory level courses that fulfill general studies requirements. These include:
Social and Behavioral Sciences (Psychology and Sociology in particular)
Math (introductory levels of Statistics or Geometry)
Fine arts (Art, Music, Theatre)
Natural sciences (Biology in particular)
Candidates should possess:
Native or near‐native proficiency in Spanish
At least 18 hours of graduate level work in the field that they will be teaching
Our course scheduling is flexible. We can arrange for evening classes that meet twice a week or
longer seminar style classes that meet only once a week, depending on the instructor’s
availability. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, in particular as
related to college‐level coursework (including AP and IB level courses).
Please forward this announcement to other qualified individuals. For more information or to
