Dr. Peach has been teaching at Georgetown College since 1998. Her primarily teaching and research interests include instructional technology, designing instructional multimedia (primarily including web-based instruction), and assessment technologies. She is very active with the state STLP advisory board and works with robotics competitions and camps each year. Dr. Peach is a Professor of Education, the Associate Dean of Graduate Education, and Director of the Instructional Technology Endorsement Program.

Dr. Peach has an Ed.D. in Instruction and Administration (emphasis in Instructional Design and Technology) and a Master and Bachelor of Music in Bassoon Performance from the University of Kentucky. She has been married for over 28 years to Harold, and has a son in college (Ryan). Dr. Peach enjoys traveling, reading, singing in her church praise team, and playing her bassoon.

Dr. Broady is an associate professor of education at Georgetown College in the USA.  She came to the United States in 1989 to attend college.  Dr. Broady joined Georgetown College in 2001.  She is the program director of the ESL endorsement program.  She has been instrumental in ESL teacher and world language teacher training in Central Kentucky since 1999.  Dr. Broady’s interests include advocacy, technology, and professional learning communities in the areas of ESL and World Languages.  Dr. Broady is a committed life-long learner and enthusiastic technology user rooted in constructivism.  She has been teaching online since 1991 and published and presented widely on technology and its role in the process of learning and teaching ESL.  Dr. Broady believes that teaching is the greatest vocation on earth. As an educator she sees her role as that of coach empowering school personnel to meet all academic and social needs of immigrant and all student populations as well as their families and communities.  To that end, advocacy for those without voice is one of her prime concerns along with preparing all students for a global 21st century.

Leadership

Dr. Broady’s professional leadership includes regional, state, national, and global positions. Examples include president and board member of the KYTESOL, steering board member of the TESOL Elementary Education IS (globally), TESOL International/NCATE USA ESL program reviewer, Chair of the TESOL International Elementary Education IS (globally), and multiple other positions.  Dr. Broady believes that educators need to be professional leaders in order to present the latest in the discipline and shape what this status is.

Dr. Broady’s list of publications and presentations is extensive and includes regional, national, and international talks, teacher professional developments, and workshops.  Among many other honors, she was chosen globally as an affiliate’s best presentation at TESOL International.

Professional honors Dr. Broady received over the past 20 years range from workplace service rewards at several institutions, professional recognitions, to multiple awards from KYTESOL and TESOL International, such as the TESOL International Leadership Award.  Dr. Broady is proud of her several teaching and advising awards and nominations by student received at different institutions.
