Hambrick village

Dr. Hambrick and his wifeFriends, colleagues and other alumni are invited to join Georgetown College in honoring one of the most beloved and admired families in  its history. Hambrick Village, a new, 84-bed, townhouse-style, student residence complex under construction on Military Street, across from the old Hinton Field, is named for Horace and Maribeth Porter Hambrick. Dr. Hambrick was a member of GC’s faculty for 46 years, 26 of them as history department chair. He also was elected first chairman of the college faculty. Maribeth served as a trustee, president of the Women’s Association and the Alumni Association. Both have received honorary degrees from GC and became members of the GC Hall of Fame in 2010.
