Class Challenge

The Class Challenge is your opportunity to pay it forward to future Tigers, allowing them the same opportunities you had at Georgetown. All gifts support the Fund for Excellence, providing scholarships for current students. These students rely on the support of Alumni who believe in the value of a Georgetown education.

Justin, a junior from Somerset, KY, shares his story:

I graduated high school in 2006 and started attending the community college in my home town. During that year I had many problems at home and eventually lost all financial support. I took two years off of school and worked a full time job. I realized that I needed to go back to school and started searching for places to go. I was offered a scholarship to come to Georgetown and life has been different ever since. A scholarship gave me a second chance at an education.

How the Challenge Works

The class challenge compares the giving percentage among members of each class between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012, not the amount given. Alumni are asked to donate ONE dollar for each year since their graduation. Every gift, no matter the size, helps increase the giving percentage for your class and will advance your class in the competition.
