General Submissions

We read between September 1 and December 31 only. We do our best to respond within 3 months of your submission, though that is only a guideline. Work that comes in at other times will be returned unread.

If your work is published, Georgetown Review acquires first North American rights, which means that after we publish the piece the rights to it revert back to you.

There are no length guidelines on essays, short stories, or novel excerpts. However, please limit poetry submissions to 20 pages. In all cases, please do not submit new work until you hear from us.

There are no particular guidelines on style, content, or form; we are looking for the best work we can find. Manuscripts are not accepted via email. Please use the following address:
