Saturday was a lovely day for a 5K, which was great for the ladies of Kappa Delta. They hosted their “Leap Around the Loop 5K” to raise money for their philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America.
Prevent Child Abuse America is a non-profit organization that “works to ensure the healthy development of children nationwide.” The organization has chapters in all 50 states.
Kappa Delta has been a proud supporter of Prevent Child Abuse America since 1981. Since then, they have raised over $10.6 million for the cause.
On Saturday the race course was 3.1 miles long, winding through Georgetown’s campus. Students, friends, family and locals gathered for the cause. The event raised more than $600 overall.
