The student organization Campus Spectrum is hosting a Marriage Equality Panel this Thurs., Feb. 28 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m in the Jones Hall Nelson Suite. The purpose of this event is to allow professors from a variety of disciplines to answer questions about marriage equality in the LGBTQ Community. This will provide many different perspectives on the issue. Brian Chaffin, senior and member of Campus Spectrum, says that they “want to spread equality to all people, not just those that fit a particular mold. Marriage is about love, not gender.”
Campus Spectrum has been collecting questions from students throughout the week outside the Caf and there will also be an option during the program to text or tweet additional questions to be answered. The event will offer LLB (Live Learn Believe) Nexus credit.
