Georgetown College GC Journeys was started to provide opportunities to learn from a diverse lecture series paired with an associated trip to create meaningful involvement for alumni and friends. It also strengthens the partnership between college and community through cultural relations and helps raise the profile of Georgetown College’s talented faculty and staff.
In its inaugural year, the program will take participants to Spain, with stops including Toledo, Granada, Ronda, Seville, and Madrid. The trip will be an adventure through one of the most gorgeous and historically significant countries in the world. From architecture to painting, religion and history, Spain offers an immense culture that travelers from Georgetown College will experience firsthand. Registration will begin November 15 and spots will fill up fast! For more information please contact Christy Mai, Executive Director of Strategic Advancement Initiatives by email or at (502) 863-8031.
The series will engage the community in dialogue and discussion with free lectures about destination, open to the public, provided by distinguished College faculty designed to enrich, inspire and transform lives. The series includes a fall preview lecture in October followed by lectures in February, March, April and May. Lectures are open to the public. For a complete lecture schedule click here.
