American artist Jim Dine is most closely associated with the “Pop Art” movement of the early 1960s. He often attached everyday objects of his own position to his canvases. He created many recurring themes in series.┬áLakeside is a part of the Hearts series. Throughout his 40 year career he received international recognition and acclaim for his painting, sculpting, printmaking, and photography. His Hearts, Robes, Venuses, Flowers, Birds and Portraits have become cultural icons.
