American artist Sarah M. Jones is a 2005 graduate of Georgetown College whom specializes in graphic design. Jones is also quite accomplished in the mediums of painting and sculpture. Her senior year at Georgetown she dominated the student art show, taking Best in Show for graphic art, Best in Show overall, receiving the Association of Georgetown Students Best in Show award and having an artwork purchased by Dr. and Mrs. Jacobs. She enjoys figurative art and her art conveys what is going on in her life at the time. Her main influences are Hellenistic and Expressionist art. She takes elements from these older movements and applies them to the modern digital media. Outside of Georgetown College she participated in the University of Louisville necklace design competition and an Evening with the Arts. Sarah Jones is truly one of Georgetown College’s more successful artists.
