This Pre-Columbian Peruvian vessel was created during the ninth century. It is particularly associated with the Moche culture. The Moche culture was significant in Peru from 200 to 600 CE. The vessel’s body is a carved representation of a stylized jaguar. Its polished surface is decorated with many geometric forms including circles and lines. The spout is hollow and stirrup-form.
