Deeper Into the Presence: Pictures from Red River Gorge by Michael Winters

Jan 19, 2012 — Mar 4, 2012
Description
Reception on Thursday, January 26, 4:30-6:30PM with
Artist Talk at 5:30PM
The title of Michael Winters’ exhibition is taken from a personally inspiring passage by noted Kentucky author Wendell Berry. In the way Berry uses words, Winters uses his camera to create pictures of his favorite place, the picturesque Red River Gorge. Winters’ photographs pay homage to not only his humble ambitions of capturing the sublimity of the Gorge, they also reveal that beauty can often be found in the details.
