Hello, and welcome to Georgetown College! My name is Matthew Lillard and I have the honor of being one of your Orientation Coordinators throughout the next few days. Orientation is a fun few days, so I encourage you to take full advantage of it. I’m originally from Dry Ridge, KY, involved in many organizations such as Campus Outreach and Air Force ROTC, and studying Political Science and Spanish. Georgetown College is a great place with many opportunities at your disposal. Throughout your time here you may have questions about college or life in general. As a former Resident Advisor and someone who has had a lot of life experiences here, I’d like to let you know that I am always willing to talk to you about anything. So please, don’t hesitate to contact me at email@example.com or 757-771-9923 with any questions or concerns that you might have. I’m looking forward to serving you and, again, welcome to Georgetown!
Welcome to the Georgetown Family! My name is Connor Mook and I am an Orientation Coordinator for the incoming Class of 2018! I am a senior here at Georgetown, studying Psychology and Spanish. Outside the classroom I love to hike, throw frisbee, and most of all, worship Jesus Christ with my guitar and my life! My favorite thing about Georgetown is the family treatment you receive at each and every office on campus, whether with a professor or at the mailroom. These next four years of college will grow you and stretch you into a better person, and the people you meet will do that the most. Cherish every relationship you have during your time here. Build others up! I’m excited to welcome you to campus and come alongside you in any way I can!
Howdy! I am beyond excited to welcome you to campus and to our amazing community. My name is Megan Norris and I am an Orientation Coordinator. I am a senior here at Georgetown, studying both Political Science and Communications. Outside of studying, I am captain of the JV-Volleyball team, as well as actively involved in Campus Outreach and the Student Abolitionist Movement. There are many activities, clubs, and organizations on campus, and there are so many ways to become involved! If you need any help during your time on campus, especially throughout orientation, feel free to contact me for anything. We, as a Georgetown family, are all here to help make this experience for you everything you wanted in a college experience. Live, Learn, and BELIEVE. Welcome to Georgetown, Tiger!
Hello new tigers! My name is Katherine Roy, and I this is my second year serving as an Orientation Coordinator. I’m from a suburb just outside of Nashville, TN, and I am a senior here at GC. I am an English and Sociology double major. After graduation, I would like to apply for the Teach for America program and the Fullbright Scholarship, which would allow me to either teach in an impoverished school system in the U.S. or in another country. Beyond that, I would like to eventually get my Ph.D. in English or Sociology and be a professor. On campus, I’m involved with the honors program and the Oxford Scholar program, which allowed me to study abroad at Oxford University this past summer! (If you have any questions about that program, I’d be more than happy to talk to you about it- it’s awesome!) Some of my favorite classes at Georgetown are Dr. Cribbs’ Cultural Diversity class (TAKE THIS CLASS) and pretty much anything that Dr. Burch or Dr. Allen teach. My advice for you as new students is not to be afraid to have fun during orientation and to break out of your comfort zone- you’re about to start the best four years of your life!
Welcome to Georgetown! My name is Lindsey Walker. I am a senior. I am a Biology major and Chemistry minor. My goal is to be a Pediatric Oncologist. I am involved in Emerging Leaders, Alpha Lambda Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Order of Omega just to name a few things. I participated in GCPALS which paid for me to work at my dream place, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for a summer. It is important to get involved while at Georgetown. Do not rush into it as a freshman necessarily, but each year grow more into the Georgetown College Community. Like many of you I came here knowing only one person, my best friend. Although, this was helpful I had to learn to build my own reputation and grow in my personality. Without being involved at Georgetown I would not have the road ahead that I have and I would have lost the best part of my college experience.
My name is Mary Violet and I am a SENIOR from Bourbon County, Kentucky. Welcome to Georgetown College! There is nothing better than being a TIGER. I am a Business Marketing major and Communication & Art double minor. I love what I study, but I also love celebrating our campus’s Greek Life, sports, and outstanding clubs/organizations. As you begin your journey here, my advice is to take too many pictures, attend all the home games, wake up early for Ms. Joe’s omelets, participate in Songfest, never skip an opportunity to meet new people, and decide to major in something you enjoy. You’re not here for a long time, but you’re here for a good time, so make it count.
Hey guys! I am excited to bring you on to Georgetown’s campus for the first time as a student. I am Turner Altman and I will be your Orientation Leader. I am from Pikeville and I am a sophomore here at Georgetown, I am actually a transfer student. I am hoping to see some familiar face because I give campus tours for the college, but that’s beside the point. I am majoring in biology in hopes to go Optometry school and one day become an eye doctor. Outside of the class room I am active in many different things. I currently hold the office of Student Government Association President and I also am a part of a ministry called Campus Outreach. I am also a first year family group leader. I am a member of IFC and I also play every intermural Georgetown has to offer. There are many more things that Georgetown has to offer and I encourage you to take advantage of those things. I am here for you so don’t be shy or hesitant to ask me ANY questions. I want Georgetown to be a place you can call home like so many of us tigers do. Welcome to the family, Tiger!
Hi! I’m so excited to welcome you to Georgetown College! My name is Elizabeth Ash and I am a junior. I am studying Mathematics with Biology and Chemistry minors. So, as you can probably guess, I definitely enjoy the sciences! Outside of studying, I am involved with the Math Physics Computer Science club, tutoring and Global Scholars. There are so many activities, clubs, and organizations to get involved with while at Georgetown. It’s important to study, but also to have lots of fun! And that’s easy on this campus. We are here to help make your Orientation experience great and hopefully you begin to make great college memories the very first day! Feel free to contact me for anything. Once again, welcome to Georgetown!
¡Hola! My name is Sarah Bailey and I am a junior Spanish major and Biology and Chemistry double minor. Eventually, I hope to be a Physician’s Assistant and I want to spend a lot of my time volunteering my medical services around the world in poorer countries that lack medical resources. On campus I’m involved in the Honors Program and Spanish Immersion Program. In the past, I have also been a part of FFG, GAC and a Student Professional for the Admissions team. This year I will be studying abroad fall and spring semesters in Seville, Spain to finish out my major. This is my second year as an orientation leader and I’m more than excited to spend my last week and a half at Georgetown getting to know all the incoming freshmen! Just a reminder, one thing you don’t want to forget to bring is all your favorite movies. There’s nothing like piling up on the weekend to watch a movie with all your new friends. The first few weekends are where you’ll make all your best friends on campus, so try to stay on campus as long as possible before going home! You won’t regret it!
Hey everyone! I am thrilled to help get your feet settled here at Georgetown. GC is an amazing and unique place and I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I have. My name is Eric Balmer and I will be an orientation leader for some of you. I am currently a junior, and plan to get a degree in Communication and a minor in Business Administration. Some organizations I’m involved with are Socialplug (an organization striving for community through social events like concerts and also philanthropic events), TigerTones, and I’m the Managing and Sports Editor of The Georgetonian. I hope that you are able to find at least one organization to be a part of so that you can enjoy everything college has to offer. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me or any of the other amazing orientation leaders. Welcome to Tiger Nation!
Hey! Welcome to Georgetown and to the most amazing years of your life! My name is Micaela Bates. I am a sophomore here and plan on majoring in Psychology. I am on the dance team and try to stay involved with many other things. I enjoy participating in intramurals, Campus Ministry, and I am also a Christian Leader Scholar who led a Directions trip this summer. One of the most important things to do while on campus is to get involved. The more involved you are, the better the experience! There are many different activities for all of the different interests across campus. Georgetown is a very welcoming place where everyone manages to stay connected. The relationships that are built here are the best part. One thing I wish that I was told as a freshman would be to embrace the newness of things. Don’t shy away from something because it is out of your comfort zone. This is the time to try new thing and to meet new people! I am so glad that you are here and look forward to seeing your love for Georgetown grow like mine has.
Hey Tigers! My name is Braden Bocard and I’m from Ashland Kentucky. I am currently a junior Biology major, Chemistry minor on the pre-med track. I am so excited you chose to come to Georgetown! This is a magical place and I’m glad I can be one of the first people you know on campus! Anyway, I am a member in several groups including the First-year Family Group program and I am the president of the Georgetown Sustainability Initiative. There are tons of ways to get involved on campus, and I’ll be happy to point you towards something you would enjoy being a part of! If you need anything, just find me and I’ll do everything I can to help you out! Make sure to bring a fun, silly outfit to campus with you because you’ll never know when one of those will come in handy! I can’t wait to get to know you, and welcome to your new home!
Hey there fellow Tiger! Welcome to Georgetown college! I am Buckley Booher and I am an orientation leader this year! I am a sophomore and am Elementary Education Major. I know that the transition to college can be a bit overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be! Everyone here wants to help make this transition as smooth as possible because here at Georgetown we all care about one another! You’re going to love being a Georgetown Tiger, I’m sure of it!
Hello my fellow Tigers! My name is Joshua Clay, and I’m an Orientation Leader for this fall. I’m a junior Chemistry major and Psychology minor. Outside of Orientation, you’ll be able to catch me hanging out in Asher, seeing as I have a majority of my classes there and it’s my second home, working in the Mulberry Café in the LRC, or participating in some Intramurals that Georgetown has. I play varsity tennis here as well, so if you’re ever looking for a friendly match, just let me know! I’m excited for this coming fall and am looking forward to meeting and making your transition to college as easy as possible. If you have any questions or need anything, feel free to let me, or any of the Orientation Team know!
Hi! My name is Jenny Cobb and I am so excited to welcome you to Georgetown College! I am currently a junior studying art and sociology. After college, I plan to attend graduate school for architecture. I am currently a member of the Oxford Honors Program, Christian Leaders Scholars and I am involved in a handful of activities here on campus! I am from Louisville, Kentucky and I am a fourth generation Georgetown Student! My favorite thing about campus: The professors! We have an incredible faculty that cares so much about each and every student. Don’t hesitate to get to know your professors! They’re awesome! Don’t forget: A water bottle! Never leave your room without one! Something I wish I had been told as a freshman: Never hesitate to ask for help! Everyone is friendly and is more than willing to answer any questions you may have. Welcome to Georgetown! Go Tigers!

Outside of classwork I am the President of the Interfraternity Council and involved with Georgetown’s EGSL Scholar program. There are so many things to learn and do in the coming days and I want to help you get acquainted with your new Georgetown community. We want these first few days on campus to be fun and encouraging!
I am so excited to welcome you to Georgetown as you begin your college journey! My name is Keely Craft and I am from Portsmouth, Ohio. I will be starting my senior year in the fall as a Biology Major and Religion Minor. After graduation, I hope to attend a pharmacy school to further my pursuit of becoming a pharmacist one day. I am a member Alpha Lambda Delta and Omicron Delta Kappa, which are two academic honors societies on campus. I also am involved in a few intramural teams on campus. Georgetown College is full of different clubs and activities to get involved in! Some of my favorite classes at Georgetown have been Basic Christian Theology with Dr. Klopfer and Philosophy of Science with Dr. Stevens and Dr. Sands Wise. Starting your freshman year, I want you to know not be afraid to go to your professors for any help you may need in the classroom. The professors here are amazing and ready to help you excel inside and outside of the classroom! Please feel free to come to me during orientation or any other time of the year if you need any help at all! Georgetown is a family that wants to make these next few years some of the best years of your life, so get excited!
Hey everybody, I just wanted to take a second to tell you how excited I am to serve as an Orientation Leader. My name is Josh Dennison and I’m from Shelby County, Kentucky. I’m a senior here at Georgetown and I’m majoring in communication, while getting a minor in Christian leadership. I’m involved with Campus Outreach and a couple other groups here on campus. That’s just a little bit about me. I’m excited to meet you all and look forward to working with you!
Hey there! My name is Sam Ellis and I am an Orientation Leader! I grew up in an upper-middle class Christian family. My parents are the biggest fans of me and I look up to them and love them more than anyone else on earth. They taught me lesson including, but not limited to, compassion, kindness, respect, and optimism. These are some of traits that I feel like I could bring to orientation this upcoming year as a way to ease new freshman into college. The activities that I have been involved with on campus include FFG, Campus Outreach, and my fraternity. These activities I have come to love and have helped me learn and grown these past two years. I plan on majoring in Biology and minoring in Kinesiology. I plan on using this as a stepping stone to get into a physical therapy graduate program/school or even nursing. While being on the college campus, I have come to appreciate many things. I will never forget the friendships and relationships that I have created here and will remember those the most. I have also come to appreciate the special events on campus that make Georgetown College special. Specifically, Hanging of the Green, Holi, and water wars. If I had to tell an upcoming freshman one key piece of advice would be to start slow. These are the years that will most likely have the biggest effect on your life and the decisions you have to make may be both stressful and long-lasting. I advise to the freshman that it is best to take a breather, reflect and pray in order to stop feeling too overwhelmed. While four years will be short, it is more than enough time to think before you have to act. I am excited for the new school year and I am glad that I get to take part in welcoming the next generation.
Hiya! I’m Shelby England and I am an Orientation Leader and Peer Educator! I am a sophomore and I am studying Elementary Education! I am from Bowling Green, Kentucky and a proud Purple Alumni! Don’t be scared to try new things and really get involved on campus! Welcome to Georgetown! Go Tigers!

If you ever need anything please feel free to let me know. Georgetown is a wonderful place that allows you to grow as individuals. Welcome tigers to our Community!!
Hey there! My name is Hunter Gatewood and I’m an Orientation Leader for the Class of 2018. I’m a sophomore studying Psychology and Security Studies, with plans to get my Ph.D. and become a clinical counselor for teenagers and young adults. Around campus I’m involved in the Honor’s Program, tutor for the Writing Center, and sporadically involved with Georgetown Activities Council (GAC). Just so you know, it’s probably a good idea to bring dress clothes with you, because you’ll probably need them, maybe even during orientation.
Hey there! I am beyond thrilled that you have decided to become a Georgetown Tiger and that I have the opportunity to welcome you to our beautiful campus. My name is Ciara Goodman and I am an Orientation Leader. I am a sophomore here at Georgetown, pursuing a major in Political Science and a double minor in Spanish and English. I am actively involved in The Global Scholars Program and love learning about new cultures while meeting people from all over the world. You are never alone here at Georgetown and our truly wonderful, supportive, and exceedingly caring faculty is always there to lend a helping hand, give impeccable advice, or simply listen to anything that is troubling you. Do you have questions or concerns? Don’t worry! I am here to assist you not only through orientation, but throughout the entire year as well. As an Orientation Leader I am a part of a team here for YOU, so don’t hesitate to contact me for anything. I hope your experiences here at Georgetown are all that you dreamed to be and more. Welcome to campus, Tiger!
My name is Ali Hall and it is my pleasure to welcome to you the Georgetown family! I am from Whitesburg, KY and I am an Education major and a Communications minor. I am also involved in Campus Outreach. Freshman year is such an exciting time, so get involved in as many organizations and activities that you can! My favorite thing about campus is the Mulberry where I am able to get my morning caffeine fix and study before class. I hope that I can help you with anything and make your college experience as stress free as possible. I can’t wait to get to know all of you!
My name is Patrick Harp and I’m from Frankfort, KY and a sophomore here at GC. I am a Management Information Systems major and a Communications minor. I am involved with Campus Outreach and am a First-Year Family Group Big Brother, which are some of the many things you can be involved with! As far as campus goes, I love going to the Grille after class and seeing who is there and just hanging out. That’s how I’ve made a lot of friends during my short time here at GC. As a freshman, I wish I would have been told earlier that Asher is open 24 hours a day and you can study and do homework in there and not be told to leave like the library. This helps me a lot knowing this now because I don’t mind staying up late to get done what needs to be done! I am really excited you decided to make your decision to come here and join the Tiger family. There is so many people on this campus that are willing to help you in every step of the way, including myself. Can’t wait to get this year started and make friends with you all!
Hello! My name is Katy Harvey, and I am a junior here at Georgetown. I’m originally from Glasgow, Kentucky, and I am an English major with a double minor in biology and chemistry. I’m part of the Oxford Honors Program and work as a general chemistry tutor and as a tutor in the writing center. This will be my second year as an orientation leader, and I am so excited for it! My best advice is to not spend too much time in your room. It’s tempting to stay there if you don’t know anyone, but you should definitely find a group to eat in the caf with or, if you’re by yourself, take a book to read in the lobby of Asher. You’ll be surprised by who all you mean just by being out and about! I also recommend bringing lots of things to decorate your room with to make it feel more like home.
Hi there! I can’t wait to welcome you all to the Georgetown College community! My name is Pearl Hebrock, and I am one of the Orientation Leaders. I am a sophomore here, and am involved in GC Fairness, GC Young Democrats, and the Oxford Honors Program. My favorite thing about Georgetown College is that you can come with a completely undecided major, and be able to explore all different areas of study while getting required classes out of the way. One good thing about Georgetown, the city, is it has the convenience of a big city (e.g. stores close by) without the craziness. I strongly recommend that you bring things to liven up your dorm room a bit- so your room here feels homey and comforting. I hope to help make this transition experience as easy, inviting, and smooth for you, as it was for me. I will be here for you if you need anything, just ask! Can’t wait to meet the newest Tigers!
Welcome to Georgetown College! My name is Paige Hedrick and I am a junior double major in Business Finance and Communications! I am from a small town just west of Cincinnati, Ohio. After I graduate, I plan on becoming a financial advisor or going to grad school! My favorite thing about Georgetown would have to be intramurals and Songfest! Good luck with orientation and come to me with any questions you might have! You are going to love it here!
Welcome to Georgetown College! My name is Elyssa Holt and I am an Orientation Leader. I am from Lebanon, Kentucky, home of the Turtleman, and I am currently a sophomore at GC. I haven’t decided on my major or my minor yet (LOL I’m a bit indecisive). As far as involvement goes, I am a Christian Leader Scholar and I have participated in Songfest, Dance Marathon, Directions, and Intramurals (My best friend and I are badminton champions…we’re really proud of ourselves). I am so excited for you to experience Georgetown and get to know this campus you will call home for the next 4 years! I know this whole thing can be overwhelming, so feel free to contact me and ask any questions. One word of advice is to be open about trying new things and meeting others while you are here. You don’t want to miss out on the fun and exciting opportunities Georgetown has to offer. WELCOME NEW GEORGETOWN STUDENTS!!!
My name is Jacob Humphrey, and I’m a senior. I’m a biology major and a chemistry/religion double minor, and I hope to attend medical school after I graduate. I am originally from Georgetown. Something I wish I was told when I was a freshman is to make sure you take gen. eds. that are flagged courses, and have as much fun as you legally can while you’re at Georgetown!
Welcome to the lovely campus for College of the Town of George! Orientation will be a blasty blast—and I can guarantee that (I’ve been a leader for 3 years now)! I am senior biology major and music minor. Since my freshman year, I have gotten involved in several organizations; Joyful Noise Gospel Choir, Tri Beta Biological Honors Society, Habitat for Humanity, and Maskrafters; just to name a few! After graduation I’d like to go to PA school and possibly work in a dermatology clinic. I am open to suggestions however, since I am interested in just about anything! A little word of advice as you enter your freshman year: don’t sweat the small stuff. Have fun! You’re in college, and when do you get to do that again? Make friends, make memories, enjoy the good times. It’s okay not to be perfect…really. With that being said, hey TIGER!!
Hey Tigers! Welcome to GC! My name is MaKayla Jackson, an Orientation Leader this year, and I am so thrilled to meet you all! I am from Morganfield, Kentucky, and I’m a sophomore here at Georgetown College studying Sociology. I love Georgetown because it is an excellent atmosphere to be in, I’ve learned a lot during my first year of college already, and I’ve gained friendships that I know I’ll have for a long time after I graduate. I am involved in a number of different organizations including Traditions Chair for the Georgetown Activities Council (GAC), Secretary for HG Lead, Christian Leaders Program, and the Tiger Bands! Getting involved is a great way to meet new people! There are so many different organizations to be a part of, and you learn so much from any of them! Feel free to ask me about anything during your time at GC, especially during orientation! Don’t forget to bring a lot of energy, and to get hype! You’re one more step towards greatness, and Georgetown will help you get there!
Hey Tiger! I am super stoked to have you on campus and a part of our Georgetown family! My name is Grace Kandrack and I am a Peer Educator as well as an Orientation Leader here. I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but currently live in Florence, Kentucky. I am a sophomore with a Spanish major and a double minor in Chemistry and Biology. On campus, I am a part of the Spanish Immersion Program and Global Scholars Program. When I am not studying, I love to walk around campus with friends and take late-night Walmart trips with them. My favorite thing on campus is the McCandless House – free coffee (and great company)! I cannot wait to see you grow into a cultural, independent young adult and remember that everyone is here to help you! Live, Learn, and Believe. Welcome to Georgetown!
Hello! I’m a sophomore here at Georgetown, double major in psychology and communication. I’m the VP of supplies and logistics for Tiger Guides, and I’m involved in Global Scholars. I’ve also been a peer educator this past year and will be one again this year. I’m so excited for you all to experience Georgetown and fall in love with it like I have! Don’t be afraid to come up to me and say hi, I love meeting new people
Minor: Christian Leadership
Plans after College: Go into full time college ministry with Campus Outreach.
Favorite Class: World Literature because I learned how to think big picture within my own life and the lives of others. Saw how small I was and how great Christ is.
As a freshman I wish someone had told me to get involved form the get go and shown me how fun South Campus truly is!
Hey! I’m so excited to welcome you to campus! My name is Stephanie Lee and I am an Orientation Leader. I am a senior English major and Child Development minor. I hope to become a children’s book editor and work in publishing after graduation. I am a member of Order of Omega, an honor society, and I have an on campus job of working Nexus events. I’m originally from Northern Kentucky, but Georgetown has become my second home and I hope that it will feel that way for you soon as well!
Hey I’m Mitchell I am a political science and history major. I am a sophomore who is involved in the track and field team and a member of the Newman center. I am from Covington, Kentucky. When I was a freshman I wish I was told that we needed to be prepared for formal events, so I am going to tell you that you need to bring formal wear for college.
I am beyond excited to welcome you to campus and to our amazing community. My name is Matt Loxley and I am an Orientation Leader. I am from Morganfield, KY, and am a sophomore here at Georgetown, studying Engineering Arts. Outside of studying, I am an Intramural Supervisor, as well as actively involved in Campus Outreach. Go Tigers!!
Hi, my name is Luke Magers, and I’m a senior at GC. I am originally from outside of Baltimore Maryland, but I now live in Georgetown. I am a business administration major with an emphasis in management, and I’m minoring in religion and psychology. This is my second year as an orientation leader. I was an FFG parent as a sophomore, and I was an RA this past year. If I could recommend any class to a new student, it would be basic Christian theology, intro to psychology, or any class taught by Dr. Cooper, Dr. Klopfer or Dr. Ward. The best advice that I could give to a new student would be to get out of your room and to experience all that Georgetown has to offer.
Hey guys! My name is Sarabeth Marlowe and I am SO pumped that you all have decided to join our Georgetown family! I am a sophomore from Danville, Kentucky and serving as one of the Orientation Leaders for your freshman class this year. I am an Art and Communications double major with the hopes of pursuing a career in Advertising and Marketing after graduation. One of the many wonderful things about Georgetown is just how easy it is to get involved! I am involved in both of the ministries here on campus, Common Ground and Campus Outreach; I am also involved in the Theatre and Performing Arts program at Georgetown along with many other things and it will be just as easy for you to get involved as well! My biggest piece of advice to you all is never say no to late night donut runs (Hong’s will become far too familiar to you very soon). ALWAYS get donuts! If you have ANY questions at all, feel free to ask me. I am here to ensure that you have the best possible Orientation experience, so ask anything and everything that you are curious about! I couldn’t be more excited about Orientation and the opportunity to spend the upcoming year with you all! Welcome to Georgetown!
Hi! Welcome to Georgetown College! My name is Victoria May and I am an orientation leader and a junior majoring in Business Marketing. Georgetown is such an awesome school, and I’m happy to be able to share it with you! One of the best things do to on campus, I think, is to get involved! There are so many great clubs and organizations to get involved in, and it is an easy way to make tons of friends and make this place feel like home! I am involved in 5 different things on campus and one of my favorites is Campus Outreach! Orientation is a lot of fun so enjoy it! I hope to see you around!
My name is Rachel Mergenthal, I’m from Northern Ky (Campbell County) and I’m a Nursing major with a minor in Spanish. I’m a member of the Tiger cheerleading squad, SHAC, Campus Outreach, Pre-Health Society and a student worker in the Wellness Center—if you get sick/hurt I would recommend going there (Its free!!) There are lots of clubs on campus and ways to get involved…ask your orientation leader about them! Something that I wish I had been told as a freshman is…don’t skip class, you’re paying lots of money to get an education, and once you skip one class you’ll want to skip all the time. If you do miss a class keep an “attendance tracker” on your syllabus and hold yourself accountable if you do miss.
Welcome Class of 2018! I am absolutely ecstatic that you have committed to Georgetown College because you are in for an adventure of a life time. My name is Bailey Milam, I am a sophomore, and I’m from Harrodsburg, KY. I am a communication and media studies major and a biology and chemistry minor. I am a member of the dance team, work on the execute board for Dance Marathon as the Campus Relations Coordinator, I work in admissions, and I am a participant in intramurals, where my best friend, Elyssa Holt, and I dominated in badminton and came back with a win and a championship. A fun little fun fact me is that I love Miley Cyrus and my two front teeth are fake. At Georgetown College opportunities are endless and there is always something for you to do. Whether its intramurals or seeing a movie with GAC on the weekends, you’re never bored. A few pieces of advice is to definitely go to the writing center, befriend your professors, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Two more small tidbits are to keep up with your G-Card to the best of your ability and not lose it (speaking from experience) and go to Hongs at 2AM. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
