Hey everyone! I’m a senior Spanish major from Paris, KY and I’ve been involved with orientation every year since I was going through it as a freshman! I just spent the last year in Spain finishing up my major and I plan to spend the rest of my time at Georgetown completing minors in biology and chemistry to eventually become a physician assistant. On campus, you can find me in the McCandless house with the Spanish Immersion Program, in the quad particpating in Greek Life activities or in the Mulberry finishing a paper for the Honors Program. I look forward to welcoming you guys to become part of the Georgetown community I have loved for the last 3 years.
I’m so glad you guys have chosen Georgetown as your home for the next few years of your lives. I am currently a Senior, and pursuing a degree in Communication and a minor in Business Administration. There are many things to get involved in at GC. Personally, I am involved in Campus Ministries, intramurals, and I’m the Editor-in-Chief of The Georgetonian. I hope that you are able to find at least one organization to be a part of so that you can enjoy everything college has to offer. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me or any of our awesome orientation leaders. Welcome to Tiger Nation!
Hello my fellow Tigers! My name is Joshua Clay, and I am one of your six Orientation Coordinators for this fall. I’m a senior Chemistry major and Psychology minor. Outside of planning Orientation, you’ll be able to catch me hanging out in Asher, seeing as I have a majority of my classes there, making it my second home, or participating in some of the Intramurals that Georgetown has to offer. I also play varsity tennis here too, so if you’re ever looking for a friendly match, just let me know. I’m excited for this coming fall and am looking forward to meeting and making your transition to college as easy as possible. I hope that orientation is a time where you can meet your future friends and really encompass all the amazing things Georgetown’s campus and community really has to offer. If you have any questions or need anything, feel free to let me, or any of the OCs or your orientation leaders know!

I am still undecided on a major but will be minoring in art, with hopes of eventually going to Dentistry School. Being on the tennis team occupies a lot of my time, especially in the spring, but getting involved on campus has really made me love Georgetown. The small size is what makes Georgetown College so great! The professors truly care about you and love to see the impact you all make on campus and in the community.
The reason I was dying to become an Orientation Leader was because of the impact Orientation had on me last fall. Before Georgetown, I was someone who never had to make a new friend group because my friends and I grew up and then graduated together. Those first few days gave me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone to meet new people in my situation and to start developing friendships. Because of this, I have made amazing friends and can’t wait for you all to do the same!
Make yourselves at home and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask!

I am in the Oxford Honors Program and Christian Scholars Program, the Treasurer for Young Democrats, and am involved in intramurals. I encourage you to find something (or more than one something) you like on campus and get involved with it! Georgetown has a lot to offer when it comes to clubs and organizations on campus. Anytime you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask. I know transitioning can be a bit rough sometimes. Again, I am so glad you’re here! Welcome to Georgetown!
Freshman year of college is one of the most exciting times of your life. We are so elated you chose Georgetown College to be your home for the next four years. My name is Ashton Trunnell and I am an Orientation Leader. I am a sophomore here at Georgetown, working towards a Bachelors in Elementary Education with a minor in Art. Last spring, I was elected Vice President of the Student Government Association as well as a participant in the Alpha Lambda Delta honors society. I am also a part of the Education Programs’ KEA and hold the secretarial position. However, the previous clubs and organizations mentioned barely touch the surface of all the things you are able to become involved in around campus. If you have any questions about how you can get involved or need help transitioning to Georgetown College in general, feel free to contact me. Georgetown College has been one of the greatest communities I have ever had the chance to be involved in and we cannot wait to meet and welcome you with open arms and Tiger Pride. Go Tigers!
Hello new tigers! I am so excited to welcome you to our Georgetown family and show you around campus. My name is Kiana White and I am an orientation leader. I am a sophomore and I am double majoring in Studio Art and Communications. Set aside from studying, and having a great time with my friends on our beautiful campus, I am a part of CFCI (Conflict Free Campus Initiative, for the Congo) and I am involved with Campus Outreach, being a Freshmen Family Group big sister for this fall semester of 2015. There are so many clubs and organizations you can be a part of to be involved on this campus. There are also great GC traditions that everyone can be a part of such as songfest, HOLI, grub fest, hanging of the green, and much more! If you need any help or even just need to ask a question or two, don’t hesitate to contact me for anything! Welcome home tiger!
¡Hola a todos!
My name is Grace Whitworth and I’m a junior here at Georgetown. This is my second year as an Orientation Leader and I’m so excited to be able to serve you all again this year!! Here at GC, I’m double majoring in Spanish and Psychology. This past semester, I studied abroad in Costa Rica where I was able to study both of my majors, so definitely talk to me if you’re interested in studying abroad! I’m also a member of Spanish Immersion here on campus, so you could definitely say that I love Spanish!!! Other special programs here on campus that I’m involved in include Global Scholars, Christian Leaders, and Oxford Honors. I’m also a Freshman Family Groups coordinator, so if you’re interested in getting plugged into a Bible study and finding a group of committed believers on campus, let’s talk! Finally, I have two on-campus jobs throughout the school year: I am a student professional at the Office of Admissions and I also am a peer-educator for Freshman Seminar. I can’t wait to meet all of you and help you find your niche at Georgetown!!
My name is Sam Wilder, and I am a sophomore here at Georgetown. I am so excited to get to know the incoming freshman class! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, and I will see you in the fall. Go Tigers!
I’m Chandi, and I’m a sophomore here at Georgetown. On campus, I am involved in many different things such as Campus Outreach, Greek Life, campus jobs, intramurals, and various other things. It’s so easy to get involved on this campus, and it makes your time here extremely enjoyable! I am so happy you’ve decided to be apart of this wonderful college family, full of wonderful people! If you have any questions at all about this campus, community, or anything in general, do not hesitate to contact me!
My name is Katie Young and I am thrilled to be your orientation leader. I will be a sophomore at Georgetown, and I plan to major in Business Management and minor in art. Outside of the classroom, I play softball for Georgetown, I am involved in Greek life and I am on Georgetown Activities Council (GAC). I am involved in many ways on campus and highly encourage you all to do the same, and of course if you need help getting involved that is why myself and many others are here as your leaders to help.
