Session Dates
Each Georgetown College IEP session is 8-weeks long. Upon completion of the session, students will have a chance to improve their level within the IEP. Students who satisfactorily complete the most advanced level of the GC IEP will be admitted into Georgetown College. Students who begin at the beginning level of the GC IEP can expect to take classes for one year before transferring into college.

A Special Note for students in the Southern Hemisphere:
In the US, the first semester of the school year is usually from August to December and is called the “Fall” semester (sometimes called a “term.”) The second semester of the school year is usually from January to May and is called the “Spring” semester. In the summer, most colleges run short courses during June and July and they call this the “Summer” semester. Our friends in Brazil and Africa (and the Caribbean, where it is always summer) sometimes find this confusing. Make sure you look at the attendance dates of any US college before applying.
