The Georgetown College IEP is designed for students wishing to improve their English language skills before beginning academic coursework at a US institution of higher learning.
Who Graduates from Georgetown College IEP?
Georgetown College IEP graduates will be equipped with the English skills to attend colleges and universities in the United States. But Georgetown College IEP graduates have more than just a certificate: they have the confidence to pursue their goals, they have an understanding of American culture, and they have over 1,000 close friends in the Georgetown College family.

What Kind of Program is the Georgetown College IEP?
The Georgetown College IEP is a multi-level English program designed to meet the needs of the individual student. Upon entry, students are placed in one of four levels, from beginning to advanced. At the end of each eight-week session, students are assessed and may move on to the next level. The Georgetown College IEP features a unique “college-bridge” level that prepares the student for Georgetown College’s rigorous liberal arts curriculum. Other features of our program that help make the “Georgetown Difference”:
- Instruction incorporates digital video, podcasting, and computer-enhanced instruction.
- Our students are conditionally admitted to Georgetown College.
- Our program is small and selective.
- Spanish speaking students can take up to half of their undergraduate core curriculum in Spanish!
