Feijoada!
Do you like feijoada (Brazilian stew)? When we started the Georgetown College Intensive English Program we wanted to make it with all the right ingredients, just like the perfect feijoada. A great feijoada has to have black beans, pork, sausage, garlic, onions, tomatoes, and salt. Right? Well, here are the ingredients of our eight-week program:
- Language — study English language with great, qualified teachers. You will have classes in reading, writing, communication, grammar, and culture.
- Culture — take trips, talk to your language partner, attend a campus event… you will learn about horses, history, and how we live while you are at Georgetown College.
- Friends — Georgetown College students, teachers, and staff all want to help you feel welcome. You won’t be “stranded” apart from the rest of the students. We want to include you in all areas of college life. Why? Because that’s the best way to learn!
- Technology and Media — Our language program prides itself on giving students access to computers, cameras, and recorders so you can unleash your inner movie star while you learn English.
- Kentucky — The extra spice in our program is beautiful central Kentucky. Hiking, canoeing, and horseback-riding is here for those who love the outdoors. All within reach of the cities of Lexington, Cincinnati, and Louisville.
