Private Giving

As a small, private liberal arts school, Georgetown College thrives on gifts from alumni and friends. Your donation to the English Department will help our faculty to ensure that current students have the best possible opportunities to learn and succeed. We use private gifts to defray the cost of books for students with financial need, to support student research, and to bring guest speakers to campus. We also use funds so designated to grow the Mary Brady Scholarship, intended to support an outstanding English major.

Use our secure web server to contribute online now with your credit card. On the contribution page, simply choose “Other” from the drop-down designation menu and enter in the “Designation/Comments” box either that you want your gift directed to the English Department’s Dr. Mary Brady Memorial Scholarship Fund, specifically, or to the English Department’s restricted budget, generally. And please consider joining the “Pawling 110 Club,” a continued giving campaign intended to endow the Mary Brady Scholarship. No gift is too small and every gift helps.

To give a gift by mail, please direct it to:

Office of Development
400 East College Street
Georgetown, KY 40324

Include a note to state whether the gift should go to the English Department’s Mary Brady Scholarship or restricted budget. Finally, if you want to phone in your donation, call the Development Office at 502-863-8041. If you have questions, please contact Holly Barbaccia in the English Department, or see the College’s FAQ about private giving. The English Department thanks you for your generosity.
