To Register for Classes Online

Go to: https://my.georgetowncollege.edu

You must have your student log-in name and password. If you do not have this information, please contact the campus Information Technology Service at 863-4357 (Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

The my.georgetowncollege Web portal is designed to help you in your every day experience at Georgetown College. It is a source from which you can access much of your personal, academic, and financial information as it relates to the college.

You can do any of the following and much more within the portal:

  • Check your Grades
  • Register for Courses
  • See when events are happening
  • Search the campus directory for Students, Faculty, and Staff
  • Look up your financial information

To log into the portal, use your campus network username and password. If you are having problems, please contact the Helpdesk toll free at 866-588-3199 or 502-863-4357. For online help – go to the portal home page, from the links on the left, select “Getting Started.”

Instructions for Online Registration

  1. Go to https://my.georgetowncollege.edu
  2. Type in your network user name (tab) and password (enter) or click Login.

  3. Select tab “Academic Info”
  4. From the left-hand list, select “Registration”
  5. Important, often overlooked step:
    • In the content section (right hand side of the window), go to the bottom and in the “Current Viewable Term” box, please set options to:
    • Program: Grad
    • Term:
      • S112
      • M112
      • S212
      • M212
    • Year: 2012
    • Click on submit options
  6. Next you will register for the courses you have selected. Please pay attention to the course prefix:  ECE, EDU, ART, MUS, etc.
    • Know the course number and section: EDU501 A (ex. A, B; BA, BB; WA, WB)
    • A, B – Classes meet on campus / face-to-face
    • BA, BB – Blended classes: instruction is a combination of on-line and face-to-face
    • WA, WB – Web courses, instruction is on-line (requires attendance at the Town Meeting)
    • Hint: you may click on the “Display Courses” to view all courses of one department and you may click on “Display Sections” to see all sections of one course.
  7. Once you are ready to enroll, just follow directions on the screen to add or drop the desired courses.
    • Remember that you can register on-line any time day or night until online registration closes at midnight Monday, April 9.
    • During online registration you may drop a course: From this same site, you may drop a course for which you have registered. Just choose the course and click “Drop”.
    • Beginning Tuesday, April 10, adding or dropping courses must be by telephone, 502-863-8176; or by e-mail to sandra_whelan@georgetowncollege.edu.

Possible restrictions

  • You are trying to get in a course for which you have not taken the pre-requisite course/s.
  • You have a “hold” on registering for any courses because your account at the Student Accounts Office is not current.
  • Section is full—waitlist option will popup or you may choose another section or course.

If you have problems with course enrollment, please call the Graduate Office at 502-863-8176.

Both offices are open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Confirming Enrollment

To complete registration for classes, students must confirm their registration by paying charges in full or making arrangements to pay the bill in installments. Both methods require contact with the Student Accounts Office. Course registration will be cancelled for students who do not confirm registration through financial arrangements by the second week. Such students will be subject to the refund schedule and fees.
