Special Students

A student is given the designation “Special Student” under the following circumstances:

–They wish to enroll in courses to further their professional development (may take unlimited number of courses).

–They wish to take courses to renew a teaching certificate

–They are taking courses to raise their GPA and enter a degree-seeking program

–They are awaiting receipt of a teaching certificate, a transcript with final degree posted, or PPST or GRE scores that are required for admission to a degree-seeking program

–They are enrolling in an endorsement or cognate or certificate only program

All special students complete an online admissions application and select the special student category that applies to their situation.  Most special student categories do not qualify the student for financial aid.  Students should contact lynn_mayo@georgetowncollege.edu to discuss the impact of their special student status on the eligibility for financial aid.
