January 23, 2014- Mandatory Teacher Education Information Meeting at 11:00 Anderson Hall room #123 (if you are planning to apply to the Education Department in the spring)

January 23, 2014- Mandatory Student Teacher Candidates Information Meeting at 11:30 Anderson Hall room #123 (if you are planning to student teacher in the Fall 2014 semester)

February 3, 2014- Student Teacher Candidates Application/Portfolio Deadline (if you are planning to student teacher fall 2014)

February 17, 2014- Teacher Education Application/Portfolio Deadline

February 26, 27 and 28- Interviews for candidates applying to the Education Program

 JANUARY 24, 2013:  MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING FOR ALL TEACHER EDUCATION CANDIDATES APPLYING TO THE EDUCATION PROGRAM.  MEET IN AH ROOM 33 AT 11:00 A.M.

 FEBRUARY 1, 2013:  APPLICATION/PORTFOLIO DEADLINE FOR ALL CANDIDATES WISHING TO STUDENT TEACH FALL 2013.

Welcome to the Undergraduate Education Fall 2012 Semester!  Many important changes are occuring in the program and we want you to be well informed!  Please continue to access the Undergraduate Education site for the most up-to-date information.

Here are some important dates and information for you to know:

  • SEPTEMBER 6, 2012:¬† MANDATORY TEACHER EDUCATION INFORMATION MEETING- ANDERSON HALL ROOM #33 AT 11:00 A.M.
  • SEPTEMBER 6, 2012:¬† MANDATORY STUDENT TEACHER INFORMATION MEETING FOR THOSE PLANNING TO STUDENT TEACH SPRING 2013- ANDERSON HALL ROOM #33 AT 11:30 A.M.
  • SEPTEMBER 17, 2012- STUDENT TEACHER APPLICATION/PORTFOLIO DEADLINE
  • OCTOBER 8, 2012- TEACHER EDUCATION APPLICATION/PORTFOLIO DEADLINE
  • STUDENTS APPLYING TO THE EDUCATION PROGRAM MUST HAVE TAKEN AND PASSED ALL PRAXIS I EXAMS (PPST).¬† See your education advisor or the education office if you have questions.

NOTE:  All undergraduate education offices have relocated to the main floor of Anderson Hall (former athletic offices).  Please stop in and say hello!

 


SPRING 2012 SEMESTER IS HERE!

Applying to the Teacher Education or Student Teaching Program?  Here are some important dates to know!

January 26, 2012: INFORMATION MEETING for students applying to the Education Program.  Meeting is in AH room #33 at 11:00 A.M.  ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY!  All areas of the application are covered and professors will be on-hand to answer portfolio questions.  DO NOT MISS THIS!

February 1, 2012:  DEADLINE FOR STUDENT TEACHER APPLICATION/PORTFOLIO for students wishing to student teach Fall 2012.

February 15, 2012:  DEADLINE FOR TEACHER EDUCATION APPLICATION/PORTFOLIO.  Program admission interviews will be held February 21, 22 and 23.  Appointments will be made upon submission of application.

SPRING 2012 STUDENT TEACHER ORIENTATION IS JANUARY 23, 2012 beginning at 8:30 in the LRC Arnett Room.

SPRING 2012 STUDNET TEACHER SEMINAR DATES: 

February 15, March 7, March 28, April 18, 2012

SPRING 2012 STUDENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS:   

April 30 – May 3, 2012

SEPTEMBER 15, 2011:  DEADLINE FOR STUDENT TEACHER APPLICATIONS/PORTFOLIOS FOR STUDENTS WISHING TO STUDENT TEACH SPRING 2012.

OCTOBER 3, 2011:  DEADLINE FOR TEACHER EDUCATION APPLICATIONS/PORTFOLIOS.  PROGRAM ADMISSION INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD OCTOBER 18, 19, 20.  APPOINTMENTS WILL BE MADE UPON SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION.

STUDENT TEACHER ORIENTATION is August 29th beginning at 8:30 A.M. in the Arnett Room at the LRC.

STUDENT TEACHER SEMINAR Dates:

September 21, October 19, November 16 and December 7.  All seminars have been scheduled from 4:00 to 5:30.
