The Education Department at Georgetown College is hosting an accreditation visit by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in October of 2013. Interested parties are invited to submit third-party comments to the visiting team. Please note that comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered, and should specify the party’s relationship to the institution (i.e., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates).

• SEPTEMBER 17, 2012- STUDENT TEACHER APPLICATION/PORTFOLIO DEADLINE
• OCTOBER 8, 2012- TEACHER EDUCATION APPLICATION/PORTFOLIO DEADLINE
• STUDENTS APPLYING TO THE EDUCATION PROGRAM MUST HAVE TAKEN AND PASSED ALL PRAXIS I EXAMS (PPST).  See your education advisor or the education office if you have questions.

February 15, 2012:  DEADLINE FOR TEACHER EDUCATION APPLICATION/PORTFOLIO.  Program admission interviews will be held February 21, 22 and 23.  Appointments will be made upon submission of application.
