The college years are a time of tremendous personal change and growth for all students.  For those in the process of self-identifying as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender, this time can be especially difficult.  The Office for Diversity and Inclusion, located on campus in the McCandless House, serves as a safe space on campus where LGBT students can come to feel welcome, safe and valued as members of the Georgetown College family.  We will be  happy to assist LGBT students in accessing any resources they may want for support.

In addition to the McCandless House, many faculty, staff and fellow students seek to support the LGBT population.  An equality symbol is used to designate offices and other spaces as places where students can feel safe and free to express themselves, as well as to dialogue openly with others.
