The Office for Diversity and Inclusion affirms the College’s commitment to all students to live, learn and believe in a safe and supportive environment.

As our student population becomes increasingly diverse, we recognize the need to continue to provide excellent support services to all students regardless of racial, ethnic or national origin, religious belief, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, age, mental or physical disability.

We recognize the need for all students to learn from those who are different, as well as to discover commonalities, and to grow from these experiences as they form their own beliefs.

We recognize the need for students who are “different” to be included and valued by others as they find their home at Georgetown College.

The Office for Diversity and Inclusion has three primary goals:

1. Serve as a resource to diverse students in order to meet their unique needs, as well as a resource for faculty and staff in working with students.
2. Collaborate to provide meaningful programming that supports inclusiveness across campus.
3. Engage students in intentional civic engagement opportunities that extend our message of inclusion to the community.

We welcome you to join us in our efforts to support our diverse student body and to welcome them warmly into the Georgetown College family.
