Eric has a B.S. degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois-Chicago and M.Ed. from Concordia University-River Forest. He has had the privilege of coaching on multiple Varsity football coaching staffs in the Chicago-land area and served several years as the football strength and conditioning coach for Lane Tech High School, the largest high school in IL. Before and after relocation to Lexington, KY with his family 2009, he ran 6FT. Fitness, a warehouse training facility specializing in kettlebell training. Currently serving as the Georgetown College Health and Wellness Coordinator, he will run Georgetown College CrossFit and CrossFit 859 in Nicholasville, KY.

Lauren Von Ohlen is an athletic training student at Georgetown college. She started CrossFit at the beginning of her junior year and absolutely loved it. Immediately, she knew she wanted to be more involved. Lauren enjoys time on the lake or snow to ski and board when she’s not at CrossFit. Her favorite exercise is handstand walks.

Kelsey started doing CrossFit in the Summer of 2013 while on vacation, and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere and the sense of competition. Kelsey is a member of the Georgetown College Women’s Soccer Team and is majoring in Kinesiology and minoring in Exercise Science. She plans to attend graduate school to follow her dreams of becoming a physical therapist.


Robert Bonse


CrossFit Level 2 Trainer

USAW Sport Performance Coach

Robert is a 2002 graduate of Angola High School. After graduation, he pursued a career as an Army Infantryman. His success in the ranks earned him a reconnaissance team leader position. Robert served two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Georgetown College has forwarded him the opportunity to double major in Exercise Science and Psychology. Robert’s dedication to facing all challenges (“be a sponge”), and happiness in sharing his knowledge with others, has led him to follow his newly found passion for CrossFit. He says becoming a coach in the fitness world has altered his perspective as a leader and mentor. Robert enjoys shooting, weeklong hiking expeditions, unorthodox style fitness training, and riding his motorcycle.
