All Georgetown College CrossFit classes are FREE to Faculty, Staff, and Students.
Q: What is CrossFit?
A: Constantly Varied, Functional Movements, Done at High Intensity
Q: What is Georgetown College CrossFit?
A: GC CrossFit is the result of a grant through The Humana Foundation which will allow for CrossFit WODs to be offered in the Fitness Room of the Rec Center.
Q: What is a WOD?
A: WOD = Workout of the Day, CrossFit has its own unique vocabulary that you will learn as you go along.
Q: What do I need to do before I attend a CrossFit Class?
A: Nothing, just show up ready to meet new people, try something different, and have fun!
*Remeber, it doesn’t always have to be fun to have fun.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: Shoes and clothing appropriate to workout in. (sweating will be involved)
Q: Do I need experience with CrossFit, exercise in general, or need to be in shape already to participate?
A: NO, NO, and NO. CrossFit WODs are programed for the elite athlete, but can be scaled to EVERY ability level.
