Â Granetta Blevins is engaged in her own business services practice specializing in strategy development and implementation, business operations, and provision of interim chief financial officer services. She works with companies on an independent basis as an advisor on strategic issues and, in many cases, as a member of their senior management team for an extended period of time. In addition to her own practice, she is currently serving as the Acting President of Georgetown College. Ms. Blevins has developed the reputation of having a unique ability to quickly grasp, analyze, and explain complex issues and apply a strong business sense to make decisions that will achieve the desired results.
Â Â Â Â Â Â Ms. Blevins brings to her business clients a wealth of experience from her 33-year career spanning six diverse industries with public, private, and nonprofit organizations including Island Creek Corporation (a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum), Diamond Shamrock, Bank One, Mason & Hanger Corporation, Georgetown College, bigchalk, Curriki, Aeris Communications, Inc., Learning in Motion, and Educorp.
Â Â Â Â Â During her career, Ms. Blevins has served as the Chief Financial Officer for multiple companies ranging in size from less than $1 million to over $600 million in annual sales.Â In addition to her senior management financial role, she has held positions responsible for Strategic Planning, Market Research & Analysis, Mergers and Acquisitions, Human Resources, and Facility Management.Â Ms. Blevins has been part of the executive management team for two start-up companies; one a New York based dot-com later sold to a major public company, and the second, a non-profit global education enterprise based in Cupertino, California.
Â Â Â Â Â Â In addition to Ms. Blevinsâ€™s business pursuits, she has been and is currently involved with various community and civic organizations.Â She has been a member of the Georgetown College Board of Trustees for eighteen years, including serving two terms as board chair. In addition, Granetta is currently on the St. Joseph â€“ Mount Sterling Foundation Board, and is chair of the Personnel Committee at First Baptist Church, Mount Sterling. Past board memberships include Mason & Hanger Corporation and Mary Chiles Hospital.
Â Â Â Â Â Â Ms. Blevins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration from Georgetown College and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Xavier University.Â Â She is also an alumnus of Leadership Kentucky.
