Chris has a wide range of teaching experience in communication discipline. Currently, Chris teaches upper level courses in organizational communication, conflict management, group dynamics, gender and relationship communication. In addition to teaching, Chris serves as department chair.
Chris engages in research synthesizing four distinct areas in the communication field: Relationship maintenance, friendship, culture, and conflict. He has begun to construct an extensive record of refereed articles and convention papers–with several articles currently under review for publication in reputable journals.
Chris has used his research experience in the private sector as a communication consultant to several businesses and corporations across the US. Most recently, Chris has worked with middle and high school administrators and counselors to aid in the implementation of peer mediation programs in several Kentucky school districts. Chris enjoys working with “at-risk” juveniles in effectively managing conflict and peer relations.
On a more personal note, Chris is a native of Louisville, KY; has a Yellow Lab named Maggie, enjoys exercise/fitness, and general outdoor activities.
