College for a Day
Tuesday, November 10, 2009
8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Share a day of intellectual and social stimulation with
renowned speakers, compelling topics and like-minded people!
College for a Day is now in its second year of providing the greater Georgetown Community with a forum for in-depth lectures and stimulating discussions. This one-day workshop is for Georgetown College alumni and friends who have told us they love the idea of reliving the classroom and campus experience for a few hours. We encourage you to indulge your nostalgia for those campus experiences of yesteryear with like-minded people who share the joy of learning.
We are especially pleased that retired jockey Pat Day, the all-time leading rider at Churchill Downs and Keeneland Race Course, will be speaking. Four-time winner of the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Jockey, Mr. Day became a born-again Christian in the early 1980s. Since that time, he has been involved with the Race Track Chaplaincy of America. He is currently the racing industry’s representative on the board of RTCA, which intends to move its headquarters to Georgetown, KY.
College for a Day promises to be an especially enjoyable, rewarding and enriching event. Please register and join us for this wonderful campus experience.
