Financial Assistance for Non-Classroom Learning Experiences!!

We are now offering V. V. Cooke Career Development Grants funded by the V.V. Cooke Foundation.

Georgetown College is committed to preparing students with valuable practical experiences in their chosen fields through student internships, conferences, undergraduate research projects, and service learning opportunities focused on career planning and pre-professional development. This grant program can assist you in searching for and securing the experiences that will teach the mindset and skills required in lifetime employability. These grants will help defray costs incurred while pursuing various experiences that align with your education and career goals.  You may also request assistance toward one exam for graduate or professional school.  The Graves Center for Calling & Career will oversee this program and will award up to $2,500 grant dollars a summer.  The award dollars will be based on the experience itself and potential expenses incurred. The amount awarded can range from the cost of a day conference to the cost of experiences outside the state of Kentucky.

You must be a full-time sophomore, junior or senior student and have an overall GPA of 3.0, have a confirmed experience and agree to meet the grant requirements.  Students with a GPA under 3.0 can apply with a letter of recommendation from a faculty member within their area of study.  The recommendation letter should address your ability to perform in the experience for which you are seeking grant dollars.
