Richard began his ministry at First Baptist Church of Frankfort in June of 2002 after serving for 16 years as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Greenville, Kentucky. He is a native of Paducah, Kentucky and a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Georgetown College. He and Lois, his wife of 28 years, have a son, Stephen, who is a divinity student at Gardner Webb University, and a daughter, Jenni, at 2008 graduate of Georgetown College in elementary education.

Richard enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, computers, and reading.
