* Want to play in a worship band?       
         We are looking for guitarists, drummers, bass guitarists, singers, anyone who would like 
        to serve in a worship band.  The church is Apostles Anglican Church in Chevy Chase in
        Lexington, and we play contemporary music.  There is one mid-week rehearsal Wed.        
        nights at 6:00 (or 6:30) and one service Sunday at 10:55

Upcoming Events!

Common Ground: Tuesdays @ 7pm in Chapel
    October 20th: Learn about how you can sponsor a child in need through  World Vision: a Christian non-profit organization. Hear testimonies from students who sponsor, and witness a drama that will speak to this message.

    October 27th: Jesse Eubanks from Jefferson Street Baptist Center in Louisville, Ky will be speaking on our 1st culture and faith topic of the next 3 weeks. He will discuss the question; "Who's fault is it that people are homeless?"

    November 3rd: Journey of Hope organization will be here to talk about their stance on the Death Penalty, and address the question; "Is the Death Penalty Bad Public Policy?" Featuring Shujaa Graham, Bill Pelke, and Terri Steinberg, 3 individuals whose lives have been directly affected by murder and the death penalty. CEP/NEXUS CREDIT!

    November 10th: A panel of faculty & staff will be addressing the question; "Is Georgetown College a safe place for all students?"

    November 17th: The Traveling Team will be here to share their passion for Global missions and how students can get involved in the Great Commission too! The three travelers will be staying on campus that night.

    November 24th: Come join us for our monthly SERVICE PROJECT Common Ground. There will be multiple projects in which you may choose to serve for 1 hour! It's a great way to build community and serve your neighbor!

 

Harvest Hoedown! This Thursday November 5th (7-10pm): Sponsored by Dry Run Baptist Church & Campus Ministry. There will be free chili dinner, hayride, square-dancing, and much more! Located in the field next to George W. Bush Center for Fitness.

30 HOUR FAMINE~( November 13-14th) Fast for 30 hours while supporting and raising money for those who suffer from hunger. More info to come! Sponsored by World Vision. Contact Meghan Harris for info!
