Unlimited Possibilities
The Campaign for Georgetown
PHA House
The alumni and friends of the President's House Association are stepping up to provide the best facilities possible for this outstanding independent fraternity. The PHA has the honor and opportunity to be the first fraternal organization to acquire a newly constructed dorm. It will be a first-class residence hall of which Georgetown College can be proud.
The fundraising goal is $750,000. A lead gift of $200,000 has already been given, which leaves $550,000 to be raised.
The new construction is envisioned with four-man suites, each suite having its own bathroom facilities — no more hallway bathrooms with their accompanying annoyances. The casemate windows will be out as well. Double paned windows will offer a less "institutional" feel to the building. The primary meeting room will be sixteen feet high , with plenty of room to display composites and House memorabilia.
The furnishings will all be new, campus and internet technology support for computers and printers will be in every room, new AC, heating and fire suppression systems will create a safer and healthier environment, and the exterior will be different from any dorm in the South Campus residence park.
