Bishop College Center

Keeping the Spirit of Bishop College Alive

Bishop College LogoThe Bishop College Center will help bring back the spirit of Bishop College, a noted historically Black college, founded in 1881 that closed its doors in 1988. The Bishop College Center will serve as a meeting place for Bishop alumni, Office of Diversity, Education Department and classrooms.

Georgetown needs funds to build the Bishop College Center, which is instrumental in strengthening the partnership between Georgetown and Bishop College alumni.

The Bishop College Center will incorporate Bishop College architecture, including the traditional Bell Tower. A Bishop Hall of Fame room will recognize Bishop alumni who are leaders in the community and a Bishop rotunda facing a courtyard is the focal point for the Bishop College Center.
