Unlimited Possibilities: The Campaign for Georgetown
The pursuit of truth in an academically excellent environment
continues to be at the core of Georgetown's primary activity. In
fact, academic pursuits and academic excellence should always be
the primary focus of the College.
Georgetown needs funds to increase its library holdings and increase opportunities for research and scholarly pursuits among faculty and students. Coincidentally, these needs along with Georgetown's history of academic excellence converge with another of Georgetown's ambitions, that of achieving
Phi Bet Kappa standards. Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest academic honor society and membership requires significant effort and resources, but the standards are consistent with Georgetown's goals for high level scholarship among faculty and students.
