Dr. Wechman received his B.S. from Georgetown College and M.S. and M.D. from the University of Louisville.¬† He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.¬† His interests include microanatomy, histology, and pre-health career education.¬† He is a founding member of the Kentucky Ambulatory Network, a group of primary care physicians who are on the faculty of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine doing translational research. Translational research¬†takes basic science research and attempts to apply those findings to clinical conundrums in primary care. He also does clinical research in his secondary medical specialty, Nuclear Cardiology.
