
Dr. Wechman received his B.S. from Georgetown College and M.S. and M.D. from the University of Louisville. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. His interests include microanatomy, histology, and pre-health career education. He is a founding member of the Kentucky Ambulatory Network, a group of primary care physicians who are on the faculty of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine doing translational research. Translational research takes basic science research and attempts to apply those findings to clinical conundrums in primary care. He also does clinical research in his secondary medical specialty, Nuclear Cardiology.
