Campus Mail offers these services:

Guidelines for use of Campus Mail services by campus organizations

Option
#1 - 1st Class, Stamped or Metered- weight of envelope can only be up to 1 ounce for a $.42 stamp
- envelopes can be no thicker than 1/4 inch or a $.20 surcharge will apply
- there is no minimum number of pieces
- there is no need for presorting
- mail is picked up daily by US Post Office; for same day mailing, mail must be delivered to Campus Mail by 3:00pm

#2 - 1st Class Pre-sort, Metered- postage is $.394 for 1 ounce envelope or $.519 for 2 ounce envelope
- envelopes can be no thicker than 1/4 inch or a $.20 surcharge will apply
- there is no minimum number of pieces
- there is no need for presorting
- mail will be posted in the mail room through the mailing machine
- mail is picked up daily by Bluegrass Mailing; for same day mailing, mail must be delivered to Campus Mail by 4:00pm

#3 - Bulk Mail/Metered
(Georgetown College organizations only)- postage is $.162
- all pieces must be identical in size, content, and weight
- all pieces must be sorted in zip code order smallest to largest
- all pieces must be separately addressed
- all pieces must have a Georgetown College return address
- address one to yourself, to know when they are in the mail
- tri-folded letters must be in an envelope
- red cannot be used as an envelope or post card color
- mail must be received by 2:00pm the day before the required delivery

#4 - Bulk/Indicia
(Georgetown College organizations only)- postage is $.164
- all pieces must be identical in size, content, and weight
- all pieces must be sorted in zip code order smallest to largest
- all pieces must be separately addressed
- all pieces must have a Georgetown College return address
- address one to yourself to know when they are in the mail
- tri-folded letters must be in an envelope
- red cannot be used as an envelope or post card color
- requires a Green Requisition Form; amount of postage to be charged to your account number will be completed once metering is complete
- mail must be received by 2:00pm the day before the required delivery

#5 - Economic Bulk Mail
(Georgetown College organizations only)- postage is $.127 to $.159 depending on the number of pieces in each zip code
- all pieces must be identical in size, content, and weight
- all pieces must be sorted in zip code order smallest to largest (included in the process)
- all pieces must be separately addressed (included in the process)
- all pieces must have a Georgetown College return address (included in the process)
- address one to yourself to know when they are in the mail
- tri-folded letters must be in an envelope
- red cannot be used as an envelope or post card color
- paperwork must be submitted at time of mailing to verify that address updates have taken place within the past 6 months.
- The Smart mailer system, in PUB-DUP, is used for this process. This process includes printing envelopes with address, stuffing, sorting, and sealing envelopes. Then PUB-DUP delivers the bulk mail to the Campus Mail Room for metering.
Bulk Mail
Bulk mail rate is a U.S. Postal Service for permit mailings by Georgetown College. Bulk mail consists of 200 or more pieces of mail identical in content, weight and size, sent at a discounted postal rate that comply with the following requirements:
- All pieces must have correct zip codes and be arranged in zip code order (smallest to largest), using ALL five DIGITS.
- All pieces must be separately addressed to different people.
- Return address must be a Georgetown College department or organization.
- Mail addressed to outside of the U.S. are not eligible for bulk mail rates, therefore, must not be included.
- Envelope flaps are to be left up in order for the machine to seal the envelopes as they are metered.
- Processing trays are available at Campus Mail.

Bulk mail will be delivered to the post office the next day depending on arrival time at campus mail, the number of pieces in the mailing and the work load of campus mail staff at the time of arrival. Check with campus mail staff for an estimated time of delivery to U.S. Post Office.
Federal Express
Federal Express packages need to be brought to campus mail by 3:00 to allow enough time to arrange pickup by the carrier before 5:00. Express Mail needs to be brought to campus mail by 4:00.
Business Reply Mail
Any individual or department who is including Business Reply in their communications must contact campus mail manager to be sure their format is U.S. postal code acceptable.
