Jeanette Tesmer is the Director of Fine Art Galleries and Curator of Collections and joined the department in early 2013.  She is a native Missourian who attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated with a BSBA in International Business from the Helzberg School of Management in 2009.  During her undergraduate studies she attended the John Felice Rome Center in Rome, Italy, an affiliate of Loyola Chicago.  After graduating from Rockhurst University, she moved to Lexington to pursue her studies in art history through the graduate school at the University of Kentucky.  While a graduate student she worked closely with the Kentucky Museum Without Walls project speaking at two regional conferences on how to implement technology in historic homes and small museum settings. Her previous museum experience includes the UK Art Museum and the International Museum of the Horse at the Kentucky Horse Park.  She completed her master’s studies in 2012.
