Crossing (After Whitman), 2007 |
This
project interprets the title, LIVE, LEARN, BELIEVE, through the
words of Walt Whitman and his poem, Song of the Open Road. Walt Whitman
has been called the “Father of American Verse” for his optimistic,
democratic and energetic words about and for the people of America. In
similar fashion, Song of the Open Road is a ballad about the courage to
take on new risks, new ideas and then to learn, live and believe in
oneself.
