Their story includes 2 first dates and they laugh about it saying that it took God longer to prepare them for each other, a decade to be exact. In the spring of ’93 after four years on campus together, mutual friends set them up on “blind date” which went fine and led to at least one other date. However, Megan had landed a job locally already and Kelly was determined to live in Japan after graduation. A few years passed, Megan married and had two children and Kelly taught English in Japan for four years before returning to Georgetown. One day on Main Street in 2003, they ran into each other and realized they were both single so Kelly invited her to 2nd first date. Finding they were both better prepared, dating ensued and they were married in May 2004. They’ve been blessed with two more children and will celebrate 10 years together this May.
