Our “GC Tigermate” Story:
Justin and I first met my freshman year. My roommate was dating his roommate at the time. Sara and I ran to Anderson Hall, walked up the side stairs to Justin’s dorm room. As I entered the room there was Justin, wearing a baseball hat, doing homework. I instantly thought he was the most handsome guy I had ever met. This was sorta awkward since I was dating someone else at the time. We walked out of the dorm and I told Sara that I was going to marry Justin. I ended the relationship I was in and hoped that Justin liked me as much as I liked him:) Sara invited Justin over to Knight Hall to hang out and eat pumpkin pie. Justin came over and Sara mysteriously disappeared. Our relationship started on November 19, 2000 in the Garden Wing of Knight Hall. Our first date was at the Georgetown Movies to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Our time at Georgetown helped our relationship grow. Whether walking hand-in-hand to the caf or dancing at a Sigma Kappa Formal…we were always together! After graduation Justin finished medical school and residency at UofL and I finished my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at UofL. We were married on May 19 2007. We welcomed our daughter into the world on July 2, 2012. I am so thankful to have met my husband at Georgetown and to have so many sweet memories.
