Greg Stratton, ’87

While at Georgetown, Greg was an active member of Phi Kappa Tau, lettered 4 years in Baseball earning All-Conference/All District honors.   Greg majored in Business Administration and minored in History.

Personal Updates

Currently, Greg and his wife, Dianna, live in Georgetown, KY with their son, Josh, who is a Sophomore at Scott County High School.   Their daughter, Breanna, is a Sophomore at Georgetown College – Majoring in History, minor in Education and was just elected Phi Mu President.

Professional Updates

Greg is the Global Operations/Project Manager for Ricoh, USA.    He also remains involved with the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity as Board of Governors Chairman and is currently coordinating Golf Scrambles and other events to bring the Phi Tau Alumni together and to get them back involved with the fraternity and Georgetown College.

Greg strongly encourages all Alumni to get involved with various alumni activities on & off campus and get reconnected with the College and following all Tiger athletics.   Also, please keep your information updated to stay connected.   Greg encourages you to also make donations to the college and/or your particular organization which ultimately benefits the entire campus.

Penny (Jones) Deatrick, ’81

During her time at Georgetown College, Penny became an active member of the Kappa Delta sorority.  She majored in Elementary Education and minored in Music.

Penny and her husband, David ’80, currently reside in Louisville, Kentucky.

Professional Updates

Penny is the Principal at Chenoweth Elementary School in Louisville and was named 2011 Outstanding Elementary School Principal of the Year.

Penny challenges her fellow alumni to get to know the local GC alumni in their school districts and to inform their kids’ teachers about our on-line Grad Ed program .

Shanna Huff Elliott, ’80

GC Info

Shanna was an active member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority and a Phi Kappa Tau little sister.  She majored in Home Economics and minored in Business.

Personal Updates

Married John ‘Duvy’ Elliott, ’80, in 1980 and is currently living in Pikeville, KY.  They have two children: a daughter, Alexandra Elliott Kuyper, ’06, who married Mark Kuyper, ’00, and a son, John ‘Clay’ Elliott who will graduate in 2013.

Professional Updates

Shanna stayed at home to raise her two children, but has been very involved in the Pikeville Community. She is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Christian Appalachian Project and the Pikeville United Methodist Church Building Committee.  Shanna previously served on the Jenny Wiley Theater Board of Directors, various committees at Pikeville United Methodist Church, and was very involved at the Pikeville Elementary and High Schools while her children were there.

Shanna enjoys following her son and two nephews who are on the newly formed GC Fishing team through their Facebook page and on Twitter.  She encourages all of her GC friends to get involved in backing the Tigers!
