Michael joined the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity while at Georgetown, and graduated in 1991 with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Political Science.

Michael is currently living in Georgetown and has a son named Conner.

Professional Updates

Michael owns the Agency Entertainment Company and is also an author and filmmaker.  One of his most recent works is a book titled Murder in the Mountains: The Muriel Baldridge Story .  Three of the four films that he has released involve Kentucky history: The Very Worst Thing, When Happy Met Froggie, and Legendary: When Baseball Came to the Bluegrass. Michael’s next 2 documentary films also concern Kentucky history and they are A Cut Above: The Legend of Larry Roberts and The Death of Floyd Collins.

Michael’s Challenge to You

Michael encourages alumni to donate at least $100 to the Art, Music, or Theater programs and support the Arts at Georgetown College.  Check out upcoming events and performances on each department’s website!

Chris Hogan, ’93

GC Info

While attending Georgetown College, Chris majored in Communication Arts and minored in Physical Education.  He was also a President’s Ambassador and played on the GC National Championship football team.

Personal Updates

Chris married fellow alum Melissa Hancock (’95) and they now live in Spring Hill, TN with their three sons.  After their son, Case, was diagnosed with Hunter Syndrome, Melissa became an advocate for children with rare diseases and founded SavingCase for that purpose.  Chris and Melissa are very passionate about this cause, and Melissa has even written a book.  You can keep in touch with Chris on Twitter or LinkedIn, and with Melissa via her website.

Chris is currently the Director of Wealth Management, working with Dave Ramsey. As a financial & business coach, Chris travels the country speaking at corporate events, churches & associations about money, leadership & business.  You can find more information about Chris’ work on his website.

Tony Carney, ’92

GC Info

Tony majored in French & minored in Chemistry, was active in campus ministries, student government, honorary societies and joined the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity while at GC.

Personal Updates

As of last year, Tony has moved back to Louisville, KY and has recently joined Highlands Baptist Church.  He is looking forward to becoming involved again on the GC campus & in his community.

Professional Updates

After graduation, Tony served 2 years as a Journeyman missionary in Thailand and then worked under Doc Birdwhistell as Associate Campus Minister for 1 year.  He then spent most of the past 15 years living and working in Thailand in the media industry. He owned his own media consulting firm, hosted a travel show on TV, starred in a Thai soap opera for several years, as well as worked on several other movies, shows, and documentaries.  He also volunteered his time working at a local orphanage & helped in the rescue & recovery work after the 2004 Asian tsunami. Tony has now moved back to Kentucky and works for Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC as a Financial Advisor.

Tony challenges all alumni to find some way…any way…to give back to Georgetown College; whether financially or with your time and/or talents.  Also, pray for Georgetown and all that it does to change people’s lives and the world.
