Colleges of Distinction
As one of America's best bets in higher education, Colleges of
Distinction bestowed four distinctions on Georgetown College: Engaged
Students, Great Teaching, Vibrant Communities and Successful Outcomes.
Colegio Bautista
The Colegio Bautista is a Baptist academy in Temuco, Chile. The
partnership with Georgetown College has provided opportunities for students
to visit the college while in high school and Georgetown students and faculty
to visit Temuco every two years. Students participate in service-learning
projects by teaching English and Bible school, for example. They can also
earn credit in advanced Spanish. Faculty members participate in service
projects by teaching classes to Colegio Bautista’s faculty. Students from
the Colegio enroll at Georgetown as matriculated students.
Regents Park/Oxford
Georgetown College has forged a unique agreement with
Regent's Park College of Oxford University to allow Georgetown students,
faculty, and associates to participate in an academic partnership with
Regent's Park, the Baptist college at Oxford. The Regent's Park College link
enhances Georgetown College's reputation as a center for innovative
Christian thought and produces widespread benefits to both institutions.
Women Leading Kentucky
a professional, non-profit network of women and men who are
committed to helping women lead and learn. We believe that education,
college scholarships, recognition of role models and women-friendly business
policies and practices are key strategies to accomplish this mission.
