Chair:  Todd Hamilton                                                              Todd_Hamilton@georgetowncollege.edu

Note:

  • Should take CHE 111/112/113 (General Chemistry I) not CHEM 100, 102 or 171 during freshman year.

If MATH ACT is below 22, it is suggested that the student take MAT107 (college Algebra) and start CHE111 sophomore year.

  • Students planning health-related careers such as dentistry, pharmacy, medicine, veterinary medicine, nursing, physical therapy, etc. should take CHE 111 and NOT CHE 100, CHE 102, or CHE 171.
  • The American Chemical Society (ACS)-Certified Major requires additional courses and careful planning.  Please see a Chemistry faculty member if you are interested in the ACS-Certified Chemistry Major.
