(B.A. degree) Requirements:

A total of thirty-six semester hours required, including:

  • 9 hours in art history
    • students may choose from ART 216, 217, 414, 416, or 470
  • 9 hours in studio foundations,
    • students may choose from: 115, 117, 118, or 234
  • 9 hours in an area of specialization (either art studio or art history)
  • 5 hours elective
    • students may choose from any art offerings, including ART 170 and ART 370 Topics courses
  • 4 hours of senior thesis work ART 455 to be taken in the last semester of art coursework

Minor

A total of twenty-one semester hours required, including:

  • 6 hours in art history
    • students may choose from ART 216, 217, 414, 416, or 470
  • 6 hours in studio foundations,
    • students may choose from: 115, 117, 118, or 234
  • 6 hours in an area of specialization (either art studio or art history)
  • 3 hours elective
    • students may choose from any art offerings

ART 118 3 D Design carries the Q flag. This course is offered Spring only

ART 250 Art History Methods carries the W and Q flags. This course is offered Spring only.

ART 170 and ART 370 may carry a flag, depending upon the topic of the course. These courses are offered every semester; however, consult Schedule of Classes for specific topic information and flag notations. In case of any questions, consult Art Department Chair.
