About Physics Education

With public schools under pressure to prepare students in STEM fields, you know that physics teachers will always be in demand!  And since our physics faculty are themselves gifted teachers, you will find yourself inspired to become one yourself.  Combine your physics major with the classes offered by our nationally-ranked education program, and you can become certified to inspire a new generation of engineers, scientists, and physicists.

Potential Careers

“The classes at Georgetown have pushed me to become a better educator and implement change immediately in my own classroom. Professors are knowledgeable in their fields and always willing to share that knowledge so you may become the best you can be. I have always found support in the education program from other students and professors and each class has been an opportunity for us to learn from one another.”
