Assistant Professor of Communication & Media Studies

The Department of Communication & Media Studies at Georgetown College invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level to begin August 2010.

Applicants should be able to take a broad approach to the study of Communication within a liberal arts context. We are particularly interested in candidates who approach Communication from a Generalist perspective, yet have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Political Communication,
  • Computer Mediated Communication, and/or
  • Health Communication. 

Ideal candidates will have an appreciation for how their interest areas intersect with relational, organizational and media communication.

Candidate must have Ph.D. by time of appointment. Georgetown College is a private liberal arts institution where emphasis is placed on teaching excellence in the context of a church-related college.
